Who's it for?

System programmers or those kicking system programmers into action. How long is it since anybody checked you were using all aspects of CA-7, and using the product efficiently? The course is designed to help people to ensure you are getting the best from the product.

What do I expect!

Please don't come on the course if you haven't had a good play with setting up the database and running the jobs under CA-7.

What does it cover.

• INIT deck
  All parameters on all statements, it's always useful if you have a copy of your deck in front of you.
• latest Release details
  What has happened, what you are not using and what is in the pipeline.
• Advanced Scheduling
  If you have any schedule problems, then bring them along. Get rid of those SCHDMODs or automate ad-hoc scheduling.
• Workload Planning
  Details about what this facilities can and can't do.
• APA Graphs
  There is a lot more to these than you think.
• CA-Earl Report building
  Some scheduling problems can be solved by analyzing batch work with this very extensive facility.
• History Reports
  How long is it since you last looked at what was available here.

Customising the course

I understand that not everybody wants to hear about all the subjects listed above. On most of these courses, the course is very heavily tailored to suite customer's requirements. This determines the course duration but it is normally 1 or 2 days.
