Data processing sections:
I have divided up this section into the list shown here. Once we have covered this section of the presentation you will have a good understanding of the CA-7 scheduling standards and concepts used in the conversion.

Calendar and Job Schedules: Three programs are used to generate the CA-7 job schedules (date/time scheduling). Firstly, PGM41 using the cyclic and calendar information to generate a list of when each application is scheduled under OPC. This goes back as far of it can. PGM42 then checks that PGM41 worked correctly by comparing the generated file with a long term plan. If the compare is alright you can run the large program PGM45. Here we work out what CA-7 job scheduling rules could be used to ensure the job runs on the right dates.

PGM45 Date list: The first part of the output generated by PGM45 lists all the dates when the application is going to run with all sorts of details about the days. Here you can see that all the days are working day '-2' this means the third-to-last working day of the month. The next part of the program lists all the possible common rules that could be used to ensure the job is run on the correct days.
